The Atelier do Vale Spinning, coordinated by designer and educator Juhi Pandey, brought together the Mulheres do Vale (Women of the Valley) group. The working sessions took place over 6 days, drawing on the experience the designer has gathered across several regions of India, where she works. Her human-centred approach, focused on processes and systems that integrate the environmental, social and economic dimensions of working with indigenous communities, became a vehicle for change, able to deepen and refine the cotton fibre processing practised by the group in Madeiral.
